A Running Event for Promoting Child-Friendly Health Care: A Collaboration Between Sincere Healthcare and the Raising Children Medical Foundation

Children are the future of the world. Thus, addressing their health concerns is crucial. Dedicated to sourcing new medical equipment globally and offering high-quality medical services, Sincere Healthcare actively supports the promotion of child-friendly health care. On the morning of May 26, to promote child-friendly health care, the General Manager of Sincere Healthcare led employees and their families to the Shuiyan Public Square in Sanchong District, New Taipei City. Together, they participated in the 2024 Happy Run for Child-Friendly Health Care event organized by the Raising Children Medical Foundation, which also has a vision for children’s health-care improvement. Through this initiative, Sincere Healthcare and Raising Children Medical Foundation aim to provide the necessary assistance to sick children throughout their treatment, enabling them to maintain healthy minds and bodies and to gain good health with positive energy at the earliest opportunity.
The Raising Children Medical Foundation Achieves Favorable Results for Child-Friendly Health Care, Benefiting Sick Children, Families, and Health-care Providers
Established in 2002, the Raising Children Medical Foundation is dedicated to achieving the principle of “protecting children’s health in Taiwan.” With >20 years of constant commitment, it has achieved significant milestones. The foundation has established 20 child-friendly spaces in hospitals across Taiwan and offered art therapy for hospitalized children to alleviate their physical and mental stress. Moreover, it has provided medical subsidies for critically ill children and has organized family outings for sick children and their families. Over the years, it has earned recognition for its dedication to improving the lives of numerous sick children and their families. Additionally, the foundation presents the Taiwan Pediatric Health-care Contribution Award to honor health-care providers who have demonstrated exceptional dedication during medical care but who have often been overlooked.The Happy Run for Child-Friendly Health Care event, now in its seventh year, aims to raise public awareness of this issue . It encourages sick children and their families to engage in outdoor activities, fostering their positive outlook during the treatment process. All individuals concerned about child-friendly health care, including children, businesses, and health-care providers, also participated in the charity run as well as donated and registered for the event. The registrations fees and donations collected will be used by the foundation to subsidize the medical expenses of hospitalized children, thus safeguarding the health of future generations.

Sincere Healthcare Fully Supports Children’s Medical Charity Events, Striving to Improve Children’s Health

The registration fees and donations collected for the Happy Run charity event will be fully allocated by the Raising Children Medical Foundation to subsidize the medical expenses of hospitalized children aged <18 years with critical illnesses as well as to support child-friendly health care. General Manager Wang Ya-fang feels deeply honored and finds great significance in being able to participate in the 2024 Happy Run for Child-Friendly Health Care event, and she has led colleagues, friends, and family to join the event. She stated, “Sincere Healthcare has long been dedicated to supporting various children’s medical charity events. We believe that every child deserves a healthy and happy environment to grow up in, and this is one of our goals.”

Before the running event, in addition to delivering a speech on stage, General Manager Wang Ya-fang received a certificate of appreciation from the Raising Children Medical Foundation and served as one of the guests to start the race. The event attracted registrations from corporations, health-care providers, and families, with approximately 1800 participants gathering at the Shuiyan Public Square on Sunday morning before 8 o’clock, creating a lively atmosphere.

Caring for Children’s Physical and Mental Well-Being, Providing a Medical Environment that Benefits both Patients and Healthcare Providers
Among the 176 participating groups, the most notable participants were 150 sick children from around the world who joined the 3-km race along with their families. These children endure the hardships of illness. Running together with their families brings them courage and inspiration, creating the most touching moments on the running track.▲Despite their illness, children bravely participated in the running event alongside their families.
“Sincere Healthcare cheers for you” is the motivational slogan designed by Sincere Healthcare for the participants on the running track. It symbolizes the challenges one may face in life, for example falling ill at times, but it reminds us that there are always people silently rooting for us. Stay positive, keep moving forward!
