Intracranial Pressure Monitoring
An intracranial pressure (ICP) monitor is a monitoring catheter equipped with a pressure microchip. In cases of trauma, intracranial hemorrhage, or other conditions that cause abnormal ICP, medical staff typically use an ICP monitor. This device enables short-term or continuous monitoring of brain pressure and delivers precise ICP readings for evaluation and treatment. Three monitoring techniques are typically used in the surgical field: basic ICP monitoring, ICP monitoring combined with cerebral spinal fluid drainage, and ICP monitoring combined with brain temperature monitoring. Each of these techniques offers tailored solutions to meet the diverse requirements of health-care professionals in a range of medical scenarios .
