Wound Care
Postoperative wound care is a major component of surgical procedures. Traditionally, surgical wounds are closed with sutures, which may lead to scarring, require dry conditions for extended periods to avoid infection, and cause pain during removal. As an alternative, skin adhesives rapidly polymerize to form a waterproof barrier over skin incisions. This protective barrier minimizes wound-related complications1 and simplifies care for patients and their family members.
