In surgical procedures, the precise excision of lesions and rapid and effective hemostasis and sealing are essential. These practices substantially influence the recovery time of patients and mitigate the risks of complications and infections. Proper use of hemostatic sealing materials can reduce surgical duration and mitigate risks.¹

Baxter  TISSEEL Solution for sealant

Hemostasis: TISSEEL is a fibrin sealant indicated for use as an adjunct to hemostasis in adult and pediatric patients (>1 month of age) undergoing surgery when control of bleeding by conventional surgical techniques (such as suture, ligature, and cautery) is ineffective or impractical.  TISSEEL is effective in heparinized patients.
TISSEEL is indicated for mesh fixation in inguinal, femoral and incisional hernia repair, as an alternative or adjunct to sutures, staples or tacks.

Baxter  Artiss solution for Sealant

ARTISS is indicated to adhere autologous skin grafts to surgically prepared wound beds resulting from burns in adult and pediatric populations greater than or equal to 1 year of age. ARTISS is indicated to adhere tissue flaps during facial rhytidectomy surgery (face-lift)
ARTISS is not indicated as an adjunct to hemostasis.
